Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd gained confidence after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. Then, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia dominated Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise from Bantamweight to her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to beat McGill. She ended the fight with a the TKO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round by TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She was a step ahead of Lina and then pounded her on the ground for a second-round TKO victory. She remained dominant as she picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and earned a reward for the performance of the night. Ladd fought in her debut big fight in The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd won the night's main event fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in hard in a tense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd after 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. In the third round of UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a replacement last minute to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
